Mar 7, 2006 Ivanko EZGRIPs - Increase Your Safety And Comfort While Weight Lifting
One of the biggest dangers for people who are working out with free weights is the chances that their hands could slip while they work out. This is an especially large risk if you are working out with barbells due to the nature of this weightlifting equipment. However, there are some products on the market that will make it much easier for you to hold onto the barbell bar that you're working out with. Ivanko EZGRIPs are one great product that has been shown to make workouts much safer in this case. EZGRIPs Are Easy To UseThe line of Ivanko EZGRIP easy grips are designed to be easy to use as well. Essentially, these grips are foam rubber grips that can be positioned wherever you need them on the barbell bar. In addition, the grips come with straps that will hold your hand firmly in place while you're working out. Granted, these straps are not very easy to put into place on your own, since there is one for each hand. You should not be working out with very heavy barbells on your own, though, so there should not be much trouble getting your spotter to help you strap your hands in. Not only do the EZGRIP's help you keep your hands on the barbell bar, but they will also reduce the strain on your hands at the same time. Barbell bars are hard pieces of metal that can really wear out your hands after a strenuous workout. By using the EZGRIP, you'll also be able to reduce any discomfort that you might feel due to carpal tunnel while you lift weights.
