Impex Smith Machines – A Familiar Brand With A Different Name

Names, such as Impex Smith Machines, are exemplary of how certain brands can be a source of confusion. Not only is the Impex Smith Machine known as such, but is also often advertised as the Marcy Impex Smith. Do you follow? I must admit that trying to learn all the different types of brand name fitness machines is a daunting task. Just when you think you have all the names under control, another brand is suddenly added to the mix and you are once again thrown into a whirlwind of confusion.

The Impex Smith 2000 system often comes up in searches as the Marcy Multi-Station Smith. The reason for this is that Marcy machines are made by Impex. Thus, if you’re looking for a particular machine by Impex, you may instead find it under the title Marcy and vice versa. Figuring this out was very useful because it helped to alleviate a lot of frustrating searches.

The most popular and well-known Impex Smith system is the Impex Smith 2000. This machine is built with heavy gauge 2” steel tubing and has sturdy safety hooks for spotter free workouts. It’s designed so that weightlifters can used either Standard or Olympic plates, and the chrome guides that accompany this machine ensure a safe and smooth lift every time.

One of the better features of this particular machine is its 48” wide design. This particular design allows for greater stability, with easy in and out access for more efficient workouts. Furthermore, included with this unit is a freestanding multi-purpose flat/incline/decline bench with an adjustable leg developer and arm curl pad. With all these extras, it’s even easier to perform complete and total body workouts.

All The Extras – What More Do You Get When You Purchase An Impex?

The extras that come along with an Impex Smith 2000 far outweigh its price tag. Aside from its safety spotter system, this rack has a lat high/low pulley system for extra arm and back workouts. Also, it includes five Olympic plate adapters and a multi-position pop pin system for easier adjustments.

Most smith machine exercise equipment doesn’t include a bench, but as mentioned earlier, this particular system does. It comes equipped attachments that other machines make you buy separately, and it does all this for some really great prices.

Don’t let the names confuse you. Just make sure that what you’re buying is really what you want and made by the company you want!
